ORDERING GIFT BASKETS

ABOUT THE BASKETS
Our festive French crates are available in several sizes. The larger baskets contain a greater selection and quantity of Eli’s house-baked classics and pantry essentials, but even the smallest basket is a pleasure to receive. Because each basket is assembled only when an order comes in, you can’t pick up a readymade basket in one of our stores. You can, however, order a basket to be picked up in a store rather than having it delivered. (And you can always find wrapped items like cookies, cakes and candies in the stores that make terrific last-minute gifts.) We are happy to customize any gift basket to suit your needs. We are also pleased to offer the option of adding wine, champagne, or spirits to any gift basket. After placing your order online, call Eli’s List at 212-717-1999, and our knowledgeable staff will be happy to suggest the perfect bottle. To make sure the wine is sent with your gift, you’ll need to have your order number on hand when you call.

GIFT CARDS
A card with the message of your choice is enclosed with each gift order. Please be sure to include your or your company’s name so the recipient can identify the sender. Gift cards are only redeemable in our retail stores.

PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS

Due to seasonal availability and supply limitations, we may need to substitute items within one of our gift baskets to ensure freshness and timely delivery. We will always compose your gift with alternative ingredients of equal or greater quality and value.

ORDER TRACKING

Once we have received your order, you will receive an email confirmation with your order number at the email address that you provide. This will allow you to track your order online. For phone and email inquiries about your order, make sure to have your order number available.

SALES TAX
New York State residents are subject to sales tax on certain items. Eli’s will automatically add any applicable charges to your order.

GUARANTEE AND RETURN POLICY
We are sure you will be delighted with your selections, as we have chosen products for their outstanding quality in accordance with our uncompromising standards. Please inspect your package immediately. If there is any problem with your order, you must contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Credit will not be granted if unsatisfactory items are discarded or consumed.

PAYMENT METHODS
We accept the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover. We do not accept cash, checks or money orders. We do not ship C.O.D. Catalog prices do not include the cost of delivery unless noted. 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Every effort is made to ship orders the next business day. Local deliveries are made by our drivers. Items ordered together are not necessarily shipped together. During December and other peak holiday periods, we may require several days to process and deliver your order. Customized items such as cookies require 48 hours to produce before shipping. We will inform you of any unusual delays.

We are not responsible for an incorrect address provided to us;
delivery, return and redelivery charges will apply. We strongly recommend that when ordering perishable items, you confirm that the recipient or another responsible party will be available to receive, open and properly store your order.

Federal Express will release a package to your recipient at the address that you supply. If no one is there to receive the package, the shipper will leave it unless you specify that a signature is required at time of delivery or if the driver feels that it is unsafe to leave the package unattended. In any case, where delivery cannot be made when originally scheduled, be advised that there will be a delay in the delivery of your gift for which we are not responsible.
We are not responsible for perishable items received but not opened.
Federal Express does not deliver to post office boxes.
