Ernesto Faccenda, purchased his first hectare of land in the 1950s not far from Canale d'Alba in the heart of the Roero, and began to grow Nebbiolo and Barbera. Now Cascina Chicco cultivates more than 40 ha. of land. This Nebbiolo comes from Castagnito, from a particular hill named Costa. The average age of the vineyards is 20 years. The soil is clayey with sand and the wine is fresh and elegant with a nice tannic structure.
