Each Eli’s Essentials is a snapshot of the neighborhood it’s in. These tightly edited, local versions of Eli’s Market offer an easy way to grab coffee, lunch, a snack, or dinner on the way home. “Only the Essentials” is how Eli thinks about these corner stores. This is a little gem of a store where you could easily find yourself three times a day. There’s hot oatmeal for breakfast, a salad bar and a soup bar, good options for dinner, and, of course, loaves of fresh Eli’s bread delivered throughout the day.

This corner, surrounded by schools and museums, is a natural choice for an Essentials store. Coffee and pastries from 7 a.m., salad and soup all-day, plus indoor and outdoor seating to watch the neighborhood pass by. At night, the mood changes as the wine bar opens for dinner, with more than 50 vintages, most by the glass, on a stunningly renovated corner of Madison Avenue.

All the Essential’s locations are happy to take catering orders for everyday events like lunch at the office or holiday catering. Menus for each holiday are available in the store and online, and the Catering Department is on standby to answer any questions. There’s no event too large or small.
