Eli's Flower Shop

Where do we source our flowers from?

Just inside the front door at Eli’s you’ll find a Flower Department that Mother Nature might call home. At the moment, Eli’s flower shop is receiving flowers and branches from the Dutch markets and the Cote d’Azure. The flower power team, led by Sarah Wright, is truly passionate about their work—product care and handling is their daily purpose; creating gorgeous, natural arrangements for you is their passion.

Tips for keeping flowers alive?

For cut flowers, keep the vessel and water clean; give your stems a fresh cut every day. Most flowers have a 4-7 day vase life. but if water is not cleaned, and stems trimmed every other day bacteria can settle in and shorten even the lives of the hardiest flowers. For the houseplants blooming on your window sills, water in the morning before the sun is on the plants and water per plant requirements. We provide care instructions! Current recommendations include forced bulbs—tulips, hyacinth and fragrant jasmine.

Sarah’s Seasonal Favorites

A wonderful way to enjoy color and fragrance while waiting for Spring—bring branches of magnolia, viburnum, spirea and forsythia—they arrive naked and burst into subtly fragrant blooms in the warmth of your apartment. Cold weather crops are at their best right now—anemone, hellebores, ranunculus and tulips—in colors, shapes and stem lengths you’ll find hard to resist.
